Yes a golden generation screwed up and now we have this bunch of rubbish.

Cresswell had been a virtual ever present right back to when he was at Ipswich before joining so coming back from that stupidly inflicted injury was a struggle.
Funnily enough even Arthur said he had never had an injury til he came to West Ham. And think he suffered two or even three separate injuries.
It would be nice to have our players fit most of the time for ONE season. Just one

Cresswell is a good player who has gone through a rough patch. If you go back over the last 18 months most of the players in our squad have gone through similar times. Quite often it is injury related but doesn't help that it has been a struggle for the whole team this season. I'm sure he will bounce back and a good confidence boost that he has got some international recognition.

IIRC the main reason he was crap earlier in the season was because Payet refused to pass to him. He's been pretty decent the last few games. It's almost as if he were back to full fitness after a serious injury.

Totally agree that Cresswell has been crap this season but i thought he was starting to look better in the last two or three games.

Southgate has had a comparatively easy ride over the elimination of Rooney from the England squad. A combination of injury and non selection for PL games etc by the special one has meant that other choices for the striking places have overtaken Rooney such that there is very little dissent, if any.

Bit of a head sratcher this IMO? When he was good he didnt get a look in, since his return from injury he hasnt seemed the same player, in fact a bit shit at times, but now gets picked for England.........................WTF!
Hope it gets him back to his best though.
